It should be abundantly obvious that Sněť have been refining their craft to something precise and lethal. Keeping those 90s hallmarks intact but with these little touches that say “we have found our own identity”, there is a gruesomeness and discomfort on this record that will suggest a maturing from the band while their aim to play punishing music is no less in-your-face.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"ltr\"\u003eConsuming you with an eldritch atmosphere while piercing through the fog with rancidity, Sněť have a massive production on their new offering that will crush all with total morbidity. Combining the mulch-y tones of death metal’s heyday with an even more classic warmth to their sound is a winning combination. While still feeling as grotesque as ever, there is more to this album than just that. It’s a savage, battering listen that combines excellently placed hooks with the more violent and chaotic moments to concoct something straightforward and yet gripping. There is no pretence to Sněť; they simply play death metal the way they want to hear it, and that really shows on “V bažinách vědomí”.
