Rejuvenated sludgecore godfathers CAVITY from Miami, FL jump back into action with a string of live shows and a newly remastered version of their first LP "Human Abjection" on Reptilian Records Previous releases on labels such as Bacteria Sour, Man’s Ruin, and Hydra Head. Past members of Cavity have went on to form Black Cobra, Floor, and Torche (among many others). One of multiple historic reunions at Desertfest 2026 - we are honored to host the return of Florida’s unsung heroes of raw power! CAVITY is a punishingly heavy band out of South Florida whose sound merges punk intensity, blues-driven doom, and sludge metal into a uniquely visceral blend. Originally active from 1992 to 2001, CAVITY became a defining presence in underground heavy music, releasing a series of influential recordings before disbanding. Re-emerging years later, the group retains the raw power of their early work while embracing a more stripped-down, experimental direction. Their performances are known for their precision, weight, and emotional force, presenting a seasoned band that continues to evolve while honoring its legacy. With new material and upcoming performances, CAVITY stands as a renewed and forward-moving creative force in modern heavy music.
